To take my self-drive safari forward into the area of untouched African wilderness in Angola that I was aiming for, proved to be quite a challenge. It required adapting to the way that Modern World rules, norms and expectations are twisted or ignored in the African Middle World to make things work with some semblance of effectiveness. Suffice to say, it also required considerable patience, resilience, resourcefulness and acceptance of risks.
